Four times a year, Paris becomes the world capital of fashion for two intense weeks. More than 100 shows per season, dozens of showrooms, after-show parties until dawn, and a city in logistical overdrive. For models, fashion houses, journalists, buyers and front-row guests, a private chauffeur isn't a comfort: it's the infrastructure that makes the week possible. This guide explains why.
I.Paris Fashion Week by the numbers
Organised by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM), Paris Fashion Week has long stood as the most prestigious appointment on the global fashion calendar — ahead of New York, London and Milan. Each year, it brings together the world's leading houses (Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Balenciaga, Valentino, Schiaparelli, Balmain…) and draws to Paris a unique concentration of talent, capital and international press.
| Governing body | Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode |
| Fashion Weeks per year | 4 (Haute Couture × 2 + Ready-to-Wear × 2) |
| Shows per season | 100 to 110 official shows |
| Participating houses | 180+ brands (official + invited) |
| Typical duration | 8 to 10 days per fashion week |
| Accredited visitors | 30,000+ international professionals |
| Annual economic impact | €10.3 billion for Paris (IFM study) |
| Show venues | 30+ iconic addresses + secret locations |
For industry insiders, these two weeks concentrate what other sectors spread across a full year: uninterrupted movement, minute-by-minute schedules, absolute discretion. Transport logistics here are as critical as the casting of a show.
II.The 4 Paris Fashion Weeks: 2026/2027 calendar
Paris is the only city in the world to host four official fashion weeks per year. Each has its own audience, venues and signature moments.
Haute Couture Spring-Summer (January)
2027 dates: late January 2027 (official calendar published by the FHCM in November 2026). This is the most prestigious fashion week of the calendar: only houses accredited "Haute Couture" by the Chambre Syndicale (around fifteen worldwide) may present — Chanel, Dior, Schiaparelli, Valentino, Givenchy, Elie Saab, Giambattista Valli, Iris van Herpen, Maison Margiela Artisanal.
Client profile: ultra-VIP, private couture clients, Middle Eastern and Asian royal families, brand ambassadors, journalists from Vogue / Harper's Bazaar / WWD, international fashion photographers.
Menswear Spring-Summer (June)
2026 dates: June 23 to 28, 2026. Presentation of men's collections for the following season. Leading houses: Louis Vuitton Men, Dior Homme, Saint Laurent, Hermès Homme, Balmain, Lanvin, Rick Owens, Issey Miyake, Kenzo, Ami, Lemaire.
Client profile: fashion house directors, invited designers, department store buyers (Le Bon Marché, Selfridges, Dover Street Market, Bergdorf Goodman), men's fashion influencers, international male models.
Haute Couture Fall-Winter (July)
2026 dates: July 6 to 10, 2026. Summer counterpart to January Couture. Presentation of fall-winter collections in historic ateliers and iconic venues. It's also the most "Parisian" fashion week — concentration of private events, gala dinners, parties in private mansions of the Faubourg Saint-Germain and 8th arrondissement.
Client profile: private Haute Couture clients (personalised fittings prior to the show), international affluent families holidaying in Paris, senior fashion press, street style photographers.
Womenswear Spring-Summer (September-October)
2026 dates: September 29 to October 7, 2026. The most heavily covered and densest fashion week: more than 80 shows in 9 days. All major women's ready-to-wear houses present: Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Hermès, Balenciaga, Loewe, Stella McCartney, Chloé, Isabel Marant, Rabanne, Courrèges, Coperni, Acne, Jacquemus, Schiaparelli, etc.
Client profile: the entire industry — international top models, buyers from across the globe, journalists from the 50 leading fashion magazines, influencers (10M+ followers), front-row celebrities (actors, musicians, athletes), ultra-affluent families.
September Womenswear alone concentrates more VIP movements than the Olympic Games across two weeks.
III.Who actually needs a Fashion Week chauffeur?
Everyone thinks they know what a private chauffeur is for during Fashion Week. The reality is more nuanced. Here are the six client profiles for whom a dedicated chauffeur isn't optional — it's a condition for the week to succeed.
01.Models and top models
Across the 9 days of Womenswear, an international top model may go through 15 to 25 castings, fittings and shows. Between each appointment: 20 to 45 minutes of travel, on-board outfit changes, critical rest. Without a dedicated chauffeur, it's impossible. Agencies (IMG, Elite, The Society, Premier) require a private chauffeur as standard for their A-list models.
02.Fashion houses and creative teams
A house like Chanel or Dior mobilises for its show: artistic director, styling team (10-15 people), makeup and hair team (20 people), press assistants, production team. All must be at the right place at the right time, often very early for 5am rehearsals. Houses book several Mercedes V-Classes for their teams throughout the entire week.
03.Fashion journalists and editors-in-chief
Anna Wintour (Vogue US), Edward Enninful (formerly Vogue UK), Suzy Menkes, Vanessa Friedman (NY Times) — editors of major magazines attend up to 10 shows per day. Their day starts at 8am and ends at 1am after the after-show parties. The bilingual, calm, punctual private chauffeur, who knows every press access code, is their primary work tool.
04.International buyers
Buyers from department stores (Saks Fifth Avenue, Harrods, Le Bon Marché, Bergdorf Goodman, Mitsukoshi, Lane Crawford…) come to Paris to place orders for the following season. Their agenda blends shows + showrooms + dinners with houses. For them, a dedicated chauffeur means being able to store look books, take notes on the move, and keep up with the pace.
05.Front-row celebrities and VIPs
Zendaya, Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Lewis Hamilton, Bad Bunny… Front-row celebrities often arrive by private jet at Le Bourget, stay at a Parisian palace (Ritz, Bristol, Plaza Athénée, George V, Crillon) and navigate between shows and parties. Absolute discretion, tinted windows, coordination with personal security are imperatives.
06.Affluent families and private clients
Many private Haute Couture clients come to Paris with their family during the fashion weeks. Beyond the show itself, it's a full stay: fittings in the ateliers, shopping on rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, dinner at the palace, evening at Opéra Garnier, return to Le Bourget for the flight home. A chauffeur synchronised with their schedule is the only workable solution.
IV.The unique logistical challenges of Fashion Week
Paris during Fashion Week is a city in overload. The logistical challenges are unlike any normal week. Here's what we manage daily during these periods.
01.Extreme traffic around show venues
The Carrousel du Louvre, the Grand Palais, Place Vendôme, Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the Marais — every fashion axis is saturated from 8am to 11pm. Our chauffeurs anticipate: alternative bypass routes, alternate one-way streets, reserved private parking. A 15-minute trip in normal times can take 45 without this preparation.
02.The 5-8 shows per day chain
For journalists and buyers, the agenda is military. Chanel at 11am at the Grand Palais, Dior at 2:30pm in the Musée Rodin gardens, Saint Laurent at 5pm on the Champs-Élysées, Balenciaga at 8pm in a Pantin hangar. Our role: have the vehicle at the right exit at the right time, without the client ever having to wait.
03.Showrooms between shows
Between official shows, buyers visit the showrooms of the Marais (3rd), Saint-Germain (6th) and the Golden Triangle (8th). Often 4 to 6 showrooms per day, with stops of 20 to 90 minutes. The chauffeur waits outside, doesn't charge for waiting, and remains available to transport look books, samples or luggage.
04.The after-show parties
Costes, Silencio, Castel, Crazy Horse, private dinners in private mansions — Fashion Week parties end between 2am and 4am. Our chauffeurs handle night service with no hidden surcharge, and coordinate group returns for teams.
05.Security and paparazzi discretion
For celebrities and certain houses, exiting a show under paparazzi lenses is a critical moment. Dark tinted windows, precise positioning 3 metres from the exit, coordination with personal security, pre-prepared escape route — we manage all this in silence.
06.Team coordination for fashion houses
A house staging a show mobilises 50 to 100 people on the day. Several V-Classes operate in parallel to transport makeup, styling, press and VIP teams. Coordination via a single point of contact on our side, who synchronises vehicles in real time with your director of production.

Every season, some venues return — others surprise. Here are the six most frequented addresses on the official Federation calendar.
Carrousel du Louvre
The historic venue for official shows since the 90s, managed directly by the Federation. Multiple shows per day take place there in the basement halls. Chauffeur access via rue de Rivoli or quai des Tuileries depending on the day.
Client profile here: the entire official calendar passes through the Carrousel at some point. Emerging and established houses cross paths.
Grand Palais & Grand Palais Éphémère
The iconic Chanel venue since Karl Lagerfeld. Reopened in 2024 after a 4-year restoration, the Grand Palais once again hosts Chanel and many other shows. Iconic architecture, glass dome, spectacular set designs.
Chauffeur logistics: drop-off on the Champs-Élysées side, reserved VIP parking on requisition. Very dense traffic — plan for 30 min of buffer.
Palais de Tokyo
The favourite venue for avant-garde houses: Loewe, Rick Owens, Acne Studios, Maison Margiela show there regularly. Raw atmosphere, contemporary architecture, edgy fashion audience.
Chauffeur logistics: easy drop-off on avenue de New York, parking at the foot of Trocadéro. Good timing from the 8th (10 min outside rush hour).
Musée Rodin & gardens
Preferred venue of Dior for its shows and many houses seeking classical elegance. Sculpted gardens, 18th-century hôtel Biron, refined atmosphere — the opposite of Palais de Tokyo in mood.
Chauffeur logistics: specific chauffeur entrance on boulevard des Invalides side. Coordinate with the house's stage manager day-1.
Place Vendôme & private mansions
Cartier, Boucheron, Van Cleef, Chaumet — Place Vendôme houses the essential high jewellery showrooms and boutiques of Fashion Week. Plus the private mansions of Faubourg-Saint-Honoré and rue de Lille for intimate shows.
Chauffeur logistics: Place Vendôme traffic is highly regulated, drop-off possible on rue de la Paix side. Ritz parking on requisition for clients staying at the hotel.
Hangars and off-Paris venues (Pantin, Aubervilliers)
Balenciaga, Givenchy, Marine Serre and several avant-garde houses now invest in industrial venues in the inner suburbs: Cité de la Mode, Pantin hangars, Aubervilliers wastelands. Raw settings for spectacular productions.
Chauffeur logistics: ring road exit to anticipate, plan 30 min from the 8th in rush hour. Our fleet is accustomed to these locations — extensive experience accumulated.
